Datasets for gravity analysis
Gravity analysis is data-intensive. Our two main data products are designed to work together and give you all the data you need to run standard gravity regressions.
International Trade and Production Database for Estimation (ITPD-E)
The database contains consistent data on international and domestic trade at the industry level covering agriculture, mining, energy, manufacturing, and services.
Dynamic Gravity Dataset (DGD)
The dataset provides annual records on various determinants of trade beginning in 1948 through 2019. It includes information for a total of 285 countries and territories.
Multinational Revenue, Employment, and Investment Database (MREID)
The database provides bilateral, industry-level data on activities of multinational enterprises. Coverage includes 25 industries in 185 countries during the period between 2010 and 2021.
Domestic and International Common Language Database (DICL)
The database contains index measures of linguistic similarity both domestically and internationally.
