The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) seeks comments on proposed amendments to its Rules of Practice and Procedure related to its investigations under section 337.

The Commission’s goal in conducting this rulemaking is to reduce the administrative burden and costs on parties related to section 337 investigations.  According to the Commission, the proposed amendments are necessary to make certain technical corrections, to clarify certain provisions, to harmonize different parts of the Commission’s rules, and to address concerns that have arisen in Commission practice. 

Details concerning the rulemaking, including a full description of all modifications proposed and information on how to submit comments, are provided in the Commission’s Notice of Proposed Rulemaking issued on September 16, 2015.  The notice was published in the Federal Register on September 24, 2015.  To be assured of full consideration, comments must be received by 5:15 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2015.
