In 2016, U.S. cross-border exports of electronic services totaled $93.4 billion, while imports totaled $54.3 billion. This yielded a trade surplus of $39.1 billion. Exports were unchanged from 2015, while imports increased by 6.3 percent. The EU, Canada, and Brazil were the largest markets for U.S. cross-border exports of electronic services, while the EU, India, and Canada were the largest suppliers of imports.
