Monica Bhattacharyya was appointed as an Administrative Law Judge at the U.S. International Trade Commission in September 2021. Prior to her appointment, Judge Bhattacharyya served for nine years as an investigative attorney in the USITC’s Office of Unfair Import Investigations. Before joining the USITC, she was an attorney for more than 12 years in private practice, including as a partner in the intellectual property group of the New York law firm of Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP. She served as a law clerk for the Honorable Louis H. Pollak in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Judge Bhattacharyya holds a juris doctor degree from Yale Law School; a master of arts degree in politics from Princeton University; and a bachelor of arts degree in biochemistry, magna cum laude, from Harvard-Radcliffe College.
