The United States International Trade Commission (Commission) wants your feedback on how to make the design and presentation of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) better.
In 2015, the Commission launched a document-oriented database application to fulfill its statutory mission of maintaining the HTS. The public can access the application at https://hts.usitc.gov. The Commission is considering ways to improve or replace the existing application and how the Commission provides HTS and related tariff information. To this end, we’re seeking input on user experience of the HTS and related tariff information.
We specifically want to hear your thoughts on:
- Finding and accessing HTS information.
- Navigating between different parts of the HTS.
- Using HTS information for your needs.
- Comparing changes in the HTS.
Please provide your comments through the Commission's Electronic Document Information System (EDIS) by 5:15 p.m., February 7, 2025.
To learn more about this effort and how to submit comments, please see the Commission’s notice in the Federal Register titled, “Request for Public Input on Presentation of Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States” (90 FR 1545, January 8, 2025). If you need help with EDIS, see the user guide.
Thank you for your feedback and participation in this process!
