Total services trade between the United States and Canada decreased during 2011–15. U.S. exports of services to Canada rose to $62.5 billion in 2013 before falling during 2014–15, while U.S. imports peaked in 2012 at 30.8 billion and declined thereafter. The United States reported a services trade surplus with Canada of $27.4 billion in 2015, down slightly from $27.8 billion in 2011. Travel services represented the largest category of both U.S. exports to and imports from Canada (40 percent of exports and 26 percent of imports), followed by professional services (16 percent of exports and 24 percent of imports).
