U.S. exports of services to Canada grew by $8.4 billion from 2010 to 2014, while U.S. imports rose by $2.8 billion. The United States reported a services trade surplus with Canada of $31.3 billion in 2014, up from $25.8 billion in 2010. Travel services represented the largest category of both U.S. exports to and imports from Canada, followed by professional services (16 percent of exports and 23 percent of imports). Professional services saw the fastest U.S. surplus growth during 2010–14, increasing at an annual rate of 87 percent (albeit from a very low base).
