The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) has released an upgraded version of its Electronic Document Information System (EDIS), the agency's web-based docketing and document management tool that allows users to file documents electronically and view/research documents filed in all ITC investigations.

Users will find a new "look-and-feel" when they access the upgraded system, which features enhanced security, improved reliability and performance, easier navigation, and faster availability of documents filed within the system.

Dubbed "EDIS 3", the system offers the same functions that users expect the ability to submit non-confidential documents electronically and to search the electronic docket. New features include:

Users will still be able to file confidential documents (and non-confidential documents if they choose) in paper form.

On the inside, the EDIS system has been completely re-engineered, with new hardware and new software. Users will experience a more stable, realiable, and secure system as a result. The improvements will allow USITC staff to process filings more efficiently, so users will have access to documents more quickly.

Users can search public documents in the EDIS system anonymously, but those wishing to file documents must log in to the system. Existing EDIS users will be able to log in to EDIS 3 using their existing user ID and password, but will have to change it immediately after log-in. New users will be able to create a user ID and password on their first visit.

The EDIS 3 system can be found at:
